Why a U-Type Bracket Is Better Outdoors
A standard flat bracket sits on top of the glass edge — rain can seep underneath and reach the lock connection. The U-type bracket wraps around the edge, creating a sealed channel that keeps moisture out. That’s the difference between a bracket that lasts outdoors and one that corrodes in a season.
Glass Door Installation Without Drilling Glass
The U-bracket clamps onto the glass edge — no drilling into the glass itself. The lock body mounts on top, and the armature plate mounts on the door panel. It works on 10-15mm thick glass doors, the most common thickness for commercial glass entrances.
Precision-Machined for 180kg Locks
The SK-U180 is precision-machined from magnesium-aluminum alloy with a sandblasted silver finish. Pre-drilled holes match the 180kg maglock exactly. The compact 130mm body fits standard 180kg locks without modification, and the anti-rust finish holds up outdoors and in covered entrances.
