What Is a Rim Lock (Bull-Head Lock)
A rim lock mounts on the surface of the door instead of cutting into it. The SK-NT1 is a surface-mount smart version: the external panel has a fingerprint reader, touch keypad and RFID reader, while the internal lock body drives the throw bolt. No deep mortising — ideal for retrofitting existing gates and metal doors.
Built for Outdoor Weather
The SK-NT1 is rated for outdoor use — rain, sun and temperature swings. The external panel is sealed, and the lock body runs on 4 AA batteries (plus an external 12V backup option) so it keeps working through winter and summer.
